The St. Ann Knights of Columbus Council No. 12208 will offer a limited number of $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors graduating in 2024.
Guidelines:
The scholarship must pay for education in a university, college, junior college, trade or technical school, busi-ness school or seminary. Monies are to be used for the fall 2024 and for the spring 2025 semester. Monies will be released upon written confirmation of the student’s acceptance at the institution.
The applicant must be a member in good standing of St. Ann Catholic Church, La Vernia, TX. Therefore, attend Mass at St. Ann regularly.
The application must be complete. The applicant cannot make any changes to the application. No substitutions or additional material such as a resume will be accepted.
The DEADLINE for the application is Friday, March 29th, 2024. Envelopes post-marked after this date will not be accepted.
Applicants will be notified of the interview dates by the Scholarship Committee. The selected applicants will be notified within a few days of the interviews.
Applications MUST be MAILED to the post office box listed below. DO NOT RETURN YOUR application to the Church Office, the High School Office or any member of the St. Ann Knights of Columbus. THE APPLICATION MUST BE MAILED!

Church Activities: list all church activities, awards and other recognitions.
School and community: list all activities, awards and other recognitions.
Official High School Transcript: Must have the signature of the counselor be imprinted with the official seal and placed in a sealed envelope.
One letter of recommendation: from an outside source such as Teacher, Priest, Employer, Knight of Colum-bus member or school you will be attending.
Essay: your essay must be 250 words or less, doubled spaced, attached to the application. The topic of the Es-say must be: “How has your life as a Catholic prepared you for College life?”
