OCIA/Initiation (18+ years old)

Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic Christian? Do you want to follow Jesus Christ for the rest of your life? This is the first step in a lifelong journey of discipleship! This is the Catholic Church’s process to bring people, through study, spiritual growth and community, into the heart of the Kingdom of Heaven. Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, which is our formation process for adults who desire to follow Jesus Christ and be a member of His Catholic Church.

WHO SHOULD JOIN?

• Those who have never been baptized.
• Those baptized in another Christian faith tradition but didn’t grow up in a Christian setting or family.
• Those baptized in another Christian faith tradition but did grow up in a strong Christian family and have a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, please still fill out the form below and we will discuss our different class options for you.
• Do not have any marriage impediments (see here for clarification).

Those who are interested in learning more about Catholicism and are interested in converting, please fill out the registration form, and we will reach out to you to discuss the best path for you to receive full initiation into the Catholic Church.  

OCIA participants attend the 9:00 AM Mass on Sundays. During Mass they are dismissed after the homily (around 9:30) for Breaking Open the Word and their regularly scheduled class. Class will dismiss at 11:15am during the scheduled faith formation time.   RCIA will follow the faith formation calendar and all participants will be provided a detailed calendar at the beginning of the semester. 

Participants must provide the following documentation at the beginning of the semester: 

• Birth Certificate
• Any previous sacramental records
• Adult Inquirer Form 
• Marital Records (if applicable) 
• Divorce or Annulment Records (if applicable)
